A fantastic figure, as generous and kind as there is. The effort he put into grass roots football will be long remembered – at the time we took it for granted, but we all know how much effort Dave devoted into running all those teams. Especially back in the day when each game took any number of phone calls to organise! His ability to spot off-sides in his team’s favour was legendary. Time moves and his dedication swung toward his grandchildren who he adored. We met Dave regularly at family events and he was always incredibly friendly. His enthusiasm for line dancing shone through, even if dancing excellence did not! Dave will be sadly missed but fondly remembered. Rich, Jo, Jasmine, Rosanna, and David Wood.
